Listen To Your Heart by Kasie West Book CoverKate doesn’t really like people. She would rather spend her time out on the lake than hanging out with the kids at school. When her best friend Alana begs her to join the school’s podcasting class she reluctantly agrees, thinking she can spend her time hiding behind the scenes. But as luck would have it, Kate is chosen to be one of the hosts of the show. Oh, and the podcast is all about giving advice.

To her surprise, Kate finds that she is pretty good at giving advice, despite her lack of time spent with other people. Then the show gets an anonymous call from a guy asking for advice about his secret crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is the guy her best friend is in love with, and she is even more sure that his secret crush is Alana. She takes this as the perfect opportunity to try to help Alana get a date to the school dance.

Things go awry however when Kate finds herself starting to fall for Diego. Suddenly she finds out that while dishing out advice might be really easy, following your own advice is harder than it seems.

Listen to Your Heart, along with other Kasie West books, is shelved in the young adult fiction section.
