The Letter Q book cover: the names of the authors are written in white above an orange Q on a pastel blue background. The Letter Q is a collection of letters written by LGBTQ+ authors to their younger selves. It was put together as a response to increasing rates of suicide by queer youth, in hopes to reduce that rate. It is moving, funny, and inspiring, all in one book. It features David Levithan, co-author of the YA book Will Grayson, Will Grayson, as well as Jasika Nicole, a well-known actress. As a queer youth, I found this book uplifting, and I actually wrote out quotes from the letters to pin on my wall. I recommend this collection to any youth looking for inspiration, or anyone looking for a first-hand look into the lives of LGBTQ+.
